Jeska King
I have worked in the property management and business development industry for the last 7 years. I bring this knowledge and my experience in sales and marketing to The Sanctuary Charitable Trust. I am passionate about empowering health and wellbeing in the community and understand first-hand the struggles of mental health and the challenges within the current healthcare systems in NZ. These real-life experiences have inspired me to attend courses through The Sanctuary, advancing my skills so that I am in a better position to help those most vulnerable in our community. I am also part of setting up another initiative, the Back to Basics Health Hub in Christchurch.

After experiencing challenging life circumstances, I chose many years ago to take control, get better educated and dedicate my life in service to the greater community, to become a change maker. I come with over 30 year’s experience in the field of Human Transformation, Healing, Personal Development and Motivational work. One of the most rewarding and challenging roles in my life, has been working successfully in various youth programs. I also worked for many years in the corporate world as a commercial and operations manager of large multi-site businesses. I am a mentor to groups and intentional communities helping them to realign and 're-vision' towards their values, principles and purpose."
Dawn Maley
Being a board member of The Sanctuary Charitable Trust is a chance for me to give back to the local community. I bring with me a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over the past six years as the treasurer and administrator for another charitable trust. The purpose and principles of the trust are in alignment with my personal values. I have worked in the Not for Profit sector for many years, New Zealand Youth Hostels Association, St Johns, and currently, Nurse Maude. My experience gained through working for these organisations has given me valuable insight and experience that I will utilise to help this trust thrive. I am also a Celebrant conducting marriage ceremonies and funerals around North Canterbury as well as being a qualified Massage Therapist and Clinical Aromatherapist.
Sandra McAlpine
Born in Christchurch, I am the mother of three and grandmother of five wonderful grandchildren. I live at The Sanctuary Fernside where I run my business Soul Gardens assisting many with various wholistic health therapies, training courses and retreats. My work experience includes facilitation of events, legal, administration, retail, life coaching and holistic health therapies. My interests include landscaping, photography and the history of ancient techniques of wellbeing. A series of life-changing events led me to work deeply on my own healing through which I discovered my passion for helping others to regain good health, happiness and balance in their lives. I bring twenty-five years of training and experience in health and personal coaching covering all aspects of wellbeing including mental, emotional, physical, spiritual wellbeing and balance.
